The AARP Driver Safety Program is designated to the mature driver learning ways to compensate for any physical change that may affect their driving. Learn defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws, and rules of the road. Learn how to safely compensate for changes in vision, hearing, and reaction
time. In Illinois, if an individual is 55, has a good driving record, is the primary driver of the car, and has completed this course, all automobile companies must provide a discount on insurance premiums for a period of 3 years.
