Channahon’s Three Rivers Festival
celebrates 22 years in 2010! Each year, the Festival brings five
days if family fun. Net proceeds from the event are all
reinvested in the community, helping provide resources, programs,
and services offered by our four Sponsor Organizations and the
Community Assistance Grant Program. In 2009, these funds totaled
over $21,000, and through the history of the event, over
$400,000 has been raised for these organizations and programs!

Welcome Fantasy Amusement Company!
Joint the Three
Rivers Festival Committee in welcoming Fantasy Amusement
Company as our 2010 Carnival midway, game, and food
provider! Owners Bill and Mary Johnson formed Fantasy in 1985,
and now celebrate their 25th year in business with us
in 2010. They bring their family owned show to communities in
Central and Northern Illinois and NW Indiana from their
Arlington Heights, IL offices.
Fantasy will
deliver the most rides ever, and the most spectacular rides the
Three Rivers Fest has ever seen! Brave enough for the 90 foot
tall Super Shot Freefall, the Matterhorn, the 65 foot Century
Wheel, the Kite Flyer, Pharaoh’s Fury, and the Screamer? Our
youngest visitors will enjoy the Kiddy Ferris Wheel, Super
Trucks, Dragon Wagon, and Motorcycle Jump. The Fun Slide, Tilt A
Whirl, a Carousel, and more will delight kids of every age.
Fantasy is one
of just 24 traveling carnival companies nationwide to receive
the industry’s coveted “Circle of Excellence” Award. This
designation from the Outdoor Amusement Business Association was
developed to raise the level of safety and
quality in the amusement industry. The award is based on five
operations areas: ride safety, personnel, game concessions, food
service and transportation.
Fantasy is
donating their Midway for a first ever Special Needs event at
the Three Rivers Festival on Wednesday afternoon, August 11.
Disabled youth and young adults will enjoy lunch, and then
complimentary carnival rides courtesy of Fantasy. Contact the
