(Q) Items on the Portal are displaying in an unsual fashion.
(A) The Portal has been designed for displays with resolutions set greater than 1024x768, Mobile devices in landscape orientation should remain usable though.
(A) Also Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser is not recommended, Please consider using Mozilla's Firefox or Google's Chrome browsers.

Registration
(Q) I get an 'Mailer Error:' when I try to register.
(A) If you are reciveing this error please email the IT Dept. at: tech@channahonpark.org.

(Q) I registered but never recieved an email.
(A) If you never recieved an email confirming your submission please check your Junk Mail Box and/or try again, if the problem persists please contact the Business Office at: 815-521-3101.

(Q) Why must my password be so complex?
(A) Complex passwords help protect Park District files aswell as your personal information. Requiring a complex password reduces the likelyhood that a user will use this password elsewhere. If your password for this or another service is compromised, then those compromised credentials cannot put other services at risk. Complex password also reduce the success rate of different forms of attacks on a password such as: bruteforce, dictonary and rainbow table attacks.

Account Recovery
(Q) I cannot remember my password.
(A) Please follow this link below to begin the Account Recovery process.

(Q) I get an 'Mailer Error:' when I try to recover my account.

(Q) I requested an password reset never recieved an email.
(A) If you never recieved an email containing your password reset security code please check your Junk Mail Box and/or try again, if the problem persists please contact the Business Office at: 815-521-3101.

(Q) My email address: has been compromised, is no longer available to me, is lost, etc.
(A) Please contact the Business Office immediately at: 815-521-3101.

(Q) My password has been compromised.
(A) Log into your account and follow the Account Management link to begin resetting your password. If you have lost access to your account because of a compromised password and email please contact the Business Office immediately at: 815-521-3101.

Mobile Users
(Q) I cannot see/download any files.
(A) Some devices may not properly open links or files. To download a PDF file from a link on most devices select and hold the link for the desired file and select Save Link. If the issue persists please email the IT Dept. at: tech@channahonpark.org. Please include the type of device and browser version.

(Q) I have downloaded a file but I still cannot open it.
(A) Users must have an PDF Reader APP installed to view any files. Adobe offers a free reader, Please search your mobile store for PDF Readers. Only download from reputable developers. If the issue persists please email the IT Dept. at: tech@channahonpark.org. Please include the type of device, reader application and browser version.

Confidentiality
All files and content when logged in is deemed confidential and for employee use only.

(Q) I forgot to log out.
(A) Sessions will terminate when a browser has closed or sufficient time has passed without activity. If you belive your account has been left logged in and is compromised please contact the Business Office immediately at: 815-521-3101.

PDF Files
(Q) I cannot open any files on my computer.
(A) To be able to view files users must have an PDF reader installed. Please click the following link to download the latest PDF Reader for desktops and laptops: Adobe Reader download.

(Q) I have the latest Adobe PDF Reader and still cannot open or view files (files appear blank).
(A) Older browers may not be compatible with the Staff Portal. Please ensure that you are using the latest browser version. Note: Internet Explorer 8 is no longer supported. Windows XP users should use either Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or other alternative browsers for best results.

(Q) Files are opening in the browser but are blank.
(A) This is most likely due to an ad blocking program on your computer. Please disable/permit any ad blocking extensions or programs for the www.channahonpark.org address.
