Fish lovers, get ready to splash into some fin-tastic fun! The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is throwing a FREE Fishing Days celebration! Grab your bait and hooks, and head over to I&M State Park any time this weekend (June 14-16) for some reel-y great fishing! It’s a perfect chance to show kids the magic of fishing. But wait, there’s more! The first 50 Anglers to swing by Arrowhead Community Center on Thursday, June 13, before 4pm will reel in a bag of goodies for your fishing adventure! Don’t let this chance swim away!

Are you looking for a family outing for the whole family to enjoy? Come out and enjoy an evening full of fun in the pool. This event is intended for families who have an individual with a disability. This event is also great for families who are looking to meet new friends! Please note that participants must be accompanied by family or a caregiver. Our concessions will be open all evening. Pre-registration is highly recommended.
Fee/Resident Discount: $9/7
Free admission for season pass holders.
Community Camp Out at Arroyo Trails!

Hey, adventurer! Ever thought about camping but worried if the kiddos will dig it? Join us at Arroyo Trails for our Community Campout and scamper into the wild blue yonder! Bring your own cozy tent or just grab a spot to bask in the starry skies. We’ll be lighting up the night with a crackling campfire, spinning tales that’ll make your hair stand up, and some good ol’ fashioned games until the sun goes down. Add your own personal flare to the tales, and if you’re feeling extra musical, bring along an instrument to add to the entertainment! We’d love to have you join in on the fun. Stay the whole night or sneak out like a ninja if someone’s not feeling it. Pssst…Don’t forget to register! Let’s make some memories under the big sky! Registration is per family.

Please leave all pet chickens at home.

Pack your picnic basket with some sweet treats like candy, candy canes, candy corn and syrup, and head over to the Community Park with your fam! The Channahon Park District team has got some fun games and crafts up their sleeves to keep you entertained before the movie starts. And what’s a Christmas-in-July movie night without watching the hilarious Buddy in ELF! So, get ready to spread cheer and laughter, and become Buddy’s honorary elf! Alright, folks, it’s showtime! The big-screen magic kicks off at dusk (that’s about 8:15 PM).
Barbie Movie in the Park

Get your dreamy pink outfits ready because we’re ending the summer with a bang! We’re talking about the one and only Barbie movie, folks! Bring your Barbie, Ken or any other fab dolls to the park, and let’s make it a Barbie bonanza!
Best of all, the movie is free, so come one, come all!
But wait, there’s more! We’re also doling out Surprise Barbies, and you really don’t want to miss that. So, be sure to register before July 26th to claim your Barbie. The main event starts at sundown (about 8:15 PM), so don’t be late, or you might miss Barbie’s latest adventures. See you there, gorgeous!

And guess what? The excitement doesn’t end there! We’re throwing a party at the Three Rivers Festival’s Family Entertainment Stage! Picture this: foam cannons, glow sticks, and top-notch entertainment. It’s going to be epic! Don’t miss out on this chance to make memories with your little speedster.
Have family and friends who don’t want to run, but want to participate? Have them email Debora at dkennedy@channahonpark.org to volunteer to spray and squirt color along the racecourse.
