Three Rivers Book Discussions

Book discussions are a great way to meet people and enhance our understanding of the people around us. Join a staff member from the Three Rivers Library for a lively book discussion. Our group will meet at 7:00 PM on the first Wednesday of the month at Arrowhead Community Center.

Books will be available for checkout at the meetings for everyone with a valid library card or at either location of the Three Rivers Library. For more information, please call Laure at 815-467-6200.

Chalk it Up

Call up your friends and grab the girls to enjoy a night of crafting! It doesn’t matter if you are crafty or not. Products are designed for people of any crafting ability. Let us bring out your creative side with a wide array of Chalkboards, Chalk Transfers and Chalk Paste. Create your own masterpiece and change your home decor with Chalk It Up! We’ll supply you with everything you and your friends need to complete a finished work of art to take home. Light snacks and soft drinks will be
provided.

Prevent T2 Diabetes

This PreventT2 program includes a trained lifestyle coach, CDC-approved curriculum and a group environment. You will learn to eat healthy, get physically active, manage stress, stay motivated, and solve problems that can get in the way of healthy changes. PreventT2 is a year-long program meeting for one hour most weeks for the first 6 months and once or twice a month for the second 6 months.

Infant and Toddler Safety 101 for Expecting Parents and Grandparents

Attention new parents and grandparents! We know your excited about your new arrival and we have designed this class to ease your concerns. This baby care and safety class will go over infant and toddler home safety practices, answer baby care questions and cover basic first aid. Child seat safety installation and inspection is also included. This class is taught by Firefighter Cindy Wilson, the Community Educator for Channahon and Minooka Fire Protection Districts.
