Movie In The Park: Henneberry Park – Free!

Pack your snacks, bug spray and blankets into the wagon and head to the Henneberry Park! We will be showing Little Giants for the neighborhood. In the event of inclement weather movies may be rescheduled, updates will be provided on Channahon Park District social media. Movies will start at dusk, estimated around 8:30 PM.
Fishing Frenzy – Free!

Ages 12 years & under
Join us in celebration of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources FREE fishing days! Bring your pole, bait and container to put your fish in. This is a great way to help youth develop a lifelong love of fishing. Check -in will begin at 8:00 am and we will end fishing at 10:00 AM. First 50 participants will receive a participation bag.

Independence Day Celebration – Free!

Join us for our annual Independence Day Celebration! This event is a joint event between Village of Channahon, Channahon Park District, and the Three Rivers Public Library District. The concert in the park begins at 6PM and ends around 9:15PM with a fantastic firework display!

Flick-n-Float

Flick and Float Flashback! Grab your favorite floatie (not too big to affect the lifeguards view) and head to the pool! We’II be showing Free Willy on the big screen. Plenty of popcorn and snacks will be ready at the concession stand. Movie is estimated to begin around 8:30 PM.
Touch-a-Truck – Free!

This is a FREE family event that showcases a variety of vehicles. Come check out the excavator, school bus, towing truck, emergency vehicles and so much more! Everyone can experience these large machines from behind the wheel. Our “quiet” hours run from 9:30-10:30 am and at this time there will be no horns. You do not want to miss this fun filled day!


Channahon Night Out with Movie in The Park – Central Park

At 6 pm the fun begins at the Channahon Police Department with games, activities, food and more! Afterward bring your lawn chair and blanket and join us for a movie under the stars. What better way to enjoy a summer night then watching A Bug’s Life movie with your family and friends at Central Park after visiting the Channahon Police Departments’ Night Out event. The movie will begin around 8:15 PM.
1 Mile Family Color Run

This fun color run is for the whole family, so mom and dad bring your little runners, teens, and friends! You’ll run through fun colors on the way to the finish line. Register by July 23 to ensure you receive your requested shirt size and a pair of sunglasses! The fun won’t stop at the finish line ether. Everyone is invited back to the Three Rivers Festival’s Family Entertainment Stage! We’ll have glow sticks, entertainment, and more! You won’t want to miss this fun opportunity.

Three Rivers Festival Family Night Out – Free
