Flashlight Egg Hunt - April 12

Grades 5th-8th
Bring your flashlights because we have hidden 5 golden eggs along with a thousand other eggs that are yours for the finding! If you find a golden egg redeem your egg for 1 of 5 OUTSTANDING SECRET prizes! Bring your own flashlight and bag to collect eggs!

Dog Gone Easter Egg Hunt (Free) - April 13

Easter egg hunts aren’t just for kids! Bring your dog to the annual egg hunt. There will be plenty of plastic eggs stuffed with dog treats that your canine can chow down on. All dogs must be leashed at all time and remember to pick up after your dog. Please no aggressive dogs. Owners will need to be present to help guide and gather eggs for their canine!

Hoppin' Holiday Egg Scramble (Free) - April 13 NEXT TO AQUATIC CENTER

Grab your basket and head over to Central Park for the annual Easter Egg Scramble. There will be thousands of eggs that will be filled with goodies and we need you to come pick them up. Please arrive by 10:15 AM; the egg hunt will begin promptly at 10:30 AM. The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures throughout the morning, so don’t forget your cameras!

Spring Fling Scramble - April 14

Come join us for the 2019 Spring Fling Scramble! This is a 4 person scramble event which will be open to the first 30 teams that register. Included in the $55 per person fee is golf, cart, range balls, bowl of chili, and a pitcher of frosty beverages per team. There will also be 4 closest to the pin prizes and an optional skins game. Shotgun start at 8:30 am. This event is on the Sunday of The Masters. There will be food and drink specials that day for anyone who wishes to stay and watch the culmination of American Golf’s grandest stage. Call the golf shop to reserve your foursome at 815-467-7888.

Spring Clean up on the I&M Canal Trail (Free) - April 18-20

All Ages Welcome
Celebrate Earth Day by participating in the I&M Canal Trail spring clean up! We are looking for groups to spend one day to help keep your I&M Canal Trail beautiful. Before the trees, plants and flowers bloom; before the hikers and bikers take to the path; we need your help to clean it up. Join in the fun as volunteer groups come together to beautify the canal. This is a great opportunity for scout groups, social organizations, churches and for you to give back to the community. Grab your family and friends and head out to the trail and be part of a great day. All groups will be assigned a section of the I&M Canal. Sections could be .5 – 1 mile in length. Garbage bags and gloves will be provided. For more information contact our staff at 815-521-3103. Planned in cooperation with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources who own, manage and maintain the I & M Canal.

Flea Market for Kids - May 4

Kids – It’s time to clean out those closets and get ready to earn some extra cash at the annual indoor Flea Market for Kids. This is the perfect opportunity to sell your unwanted toys, clothes, sporting goods, books, electronics – anything designed for kids. Bring your own table(s) and a chair. Preregistration is required. THE SALE IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

May Scramble at Heritage Bluffs - May 11

Come out and enjoy the spring weather in this 4-person scramble format. There will be contests for closest to the pins, long drives and an optional skins game. The cost is $70 per person including lunch at the turn and prize money. Tee times will begin at 10:00 am. This will be event #2 in our season long scramble calendar the weather will be great! Grab some friends and call the golf shop 815-467-7888 to make your reservation.

Six Flags Great America/Hurricane Harbor Ticket Program

The Channahon Park District offers discounted tickets for the residents to Six Flags Great America at Arrowhead Community Center and Heritage Crossing Field House. Enjoy everything about Six Flags without paying the full ticket price. Tickets are good any day the park is open to the general public (not to private events) –throughout Fright Fest. Hurricane Harbor tickets can be purchased on site for $10.00 per person.

“Floatie Night” is about to take on a whole new meaning. Come try your luck with a floating obstacle course, also known as a Wibit or Aquatrack. Climb, jump, and fall in, because it’s fun! This is a super fun summer event that you don’t want to miss! The concession stand will be open.

Fishing Derby - FREE! June 15

Ages 12 years & under
Join us in celebration of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources FREE fishing days! Bring your pole, bait and container to put your fish in. This is a great way to help youth develop a lifelong love of fishing. No pre-registration is required. Check-in will begin at 8:00 am, fishing will begin at 8:15 am. We will end fishing at 10:00 am and all fish must be checked in by 10:15, the awards will begin at 10:30 am. All participants will receive a ribbon and goodie bag. Top prizes will be awarded to the smallest fish, largest fish and most caught. This event is run on the honor system, the fish must be caught by the children, but assistance may be given for baiting and casting.

Joins us for an evening of music, food, friends & spirits. Take a relaxing one mile walk around the prairie wetland trail while tasting samples from local breweries. After your walk enjoy a cash bar while listening to the sounds of a local guitar player. All pre-registrations are guaranteed a 9oz. souvenir glass to keep.

Everyone can experience these large machines from right behind the wheel. We have expanded our “quiet” hours this year with no horns or running engine from 9:30-10:30 am. Concessions will be available to purchase.

Mom and Dad do you have a little runner in the family? If so, this is a fun way to get them started while getting the whole family involved! You’ll run through fun colors on the way to the finish line. Everyone will get a cool pair of sunglasses and the first 200 registered will get white t-shirt. The fun won’t stop at the finish line ether. Everyone is invited back to the Family Stage at the festival for Family Fun night! We’ll have glow sticks, a video game truck and more! You won’t want to miss this fun opportunity.
