Make a special memory by purchasing a tree or bench to be placed in one of Channahon Park District’s parks. Celebrate a birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement, or remember a loved one.
These are gifts that keep giving, for generations to come. A range of options are available to be placed in almost all of our parks.
Bench Program
The 6′ Park Bench Black aluminum frames with armrests and “cedar” colored recycled plastics for the seat and back boards. This ornate bench makes a beautiful statement. The bench can be installed in one of the Channahon Park District’s neighborhood parks or community park. Park District staff will work with you to decide a fitting location for your bench and install it as well as help design the commemorative sign to be placed on it.
Tree Program
There are several species of trees to choose from. Park District staff will work with you to select the perfect tree and location and plant it! The Channahon Park District will also assist you with developing the commemorative sign to be placed along side the tree!
Types of Trees
Shade Trees Commonly over 40 – 55 feet tall at maturity, these trees cast cool shade, provide wildlife habitats, and contribute to an array of colors during the summer and fall seasons.

Ornamental Trees Intermediate in size, most ornamentals reach heights of between 20 and 35 feet. They contribute interest to the landscape through flowers, fruit, fall colors, and form.
