Frequently Asked Questions for Kids Connection 2020-2021

Does my child have to wear a mask?
Yes, when inside the building, masks will be required. Please send your child with a clean mask every day and have an extra in their backpack.

What should my child bring?
A backpack with their name on it, a non-spillable water bottle that is labeled, an extra clean mask and a change of clothes in a Ziploc bag according to the season. Please make sure all your child’s items are labeled. We ask that children come to class in closed toe shoes.

Has the sick policy changed?
Yes, please take the time to look at the Parent Handbook and familiarize yourself with it. Students need to be 72 hours symptom free before returning to class. You will be required to self-certify your child by 8:30 AM every morning. The links will be sent out via Remind to each specific class, you can also find them on our website under the Preschool tab.

What is the drop off procedure?
Parents will not come into the classroom. Teachers will check your child in at the classroom door when you arrive and check your child out at the classroom door when you pick up. Please have an ID ready to show at Pick-Up for the first couple of weeks to help us get to know who is picking up what child. Anyone picking up your child must be on the Emergency Form and show an ID. We ask that you do not congregate in the hallways and use the appropriate doors to enter & exit. Reference map & Preschool Drop Off sheet.

What are your cleaning procedures?
Teachers will be disinfecting high touch points throughout the day. Toys are sanitized each day and classrooms will be cleaned daily. Children will be given their own labeled pencil box that will contain their own supplies. Any shared supplies will be sanitized between use.
What will the hand washing procedure be?
Children will wash/sanitize their hands between each activity. We ask that you take your child to the bathroom/wash their hands before the start of class.

What will happen if there is a positive COVID case?
The programs participants will be notified via email. In the event a positive case arises, individual classes will receive further information if your child’s class was impacted. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the COVID flowchart. The health and safety of your child is our priority.

The facilities and planned activities are designed to provide an environment in which each child can freely express themselves and develop their potential.
